February 3, 2025

Meeting called to order: 7:25 PM

Attendees: Dan R, Tom & Cindy P, Dan & Anna M, Gary M, Diana D, Dominic C, Larry P, Kevin &
Melissa T, Jack K, Dennis & Paula Y, Mike H, Bill P, Kurt H, Dan K, Doug D, Renee G, Tony M.

Secretary Report: Motion to pass on the reading of the minutes.

Financial Report: Financial reports were read by Dan R.
In other financial changes it was announced that the club is now using Square to accept online
payments for memberships and other events. PayPal was previously used for transactions.

Membership: Dan R. mentioned that 5 new members joined the club. Now there are currently
25 paid memberships. Enrollment for next years dues are now available online or to Dan in
person.

Correspondence: The Das Awkscht Fescht organization is needing to update their
representatives for the car show classes and Dan K. is wishing to step aside after many years of
that capacity. Dan R. or Gary M. will fill in this position.

Old Business:

  • The annual club X-mas party held at the Superior restaurant was a great success again.
Dan & Anna put together a great fun event and all attendees had a good time. Many
presents were collected for the Toys For Tots program. The date for 2025 is set for
    Saturday, December 13.

  • The Simeone Collection “Shelby Demo Day” had a great turnout with several club
members attending. The speaking program was good but the driving of the Daytona
Coupe and the Ford GT MK4 were the highlight of the show. Several new members
signed up that day at the club table manned by Dan R.
  • The club elections were held and confirmed via a Zoom meeting with last years officers
and board members retaining their same positions.

New Business:

  • Gary M. has a date of Saturday, March 8 for a tour at the Hershey AACA museum starting
at 10:00AM. It will feature a “Behind the Scenes” tour of buildings not open to the
public. After that you may tour the main museum at your own pace.

  • The yearly “Go Kart racing experience” will again be held sometime in mid March. The
exact date will be determined and announced. Price will increase from other years also.

  • The “cars & coffee” gathering will again be held at Nockamixon State Park. It will be held
on Sunday, April 13 from 9-12 at the Marina parking lot. Light food will be provided.

  • On Saturday, April 26, Manderbach Ford will host another “cars & coffee” gathering at
the Hamburg dealership. A food truck will be available for attendees.

  • Denny has fliers to hand out to advertise to get a great Ford turnout for the 2025 SOTM
event to be held at his home on Saturday, June 14, 2025. The featured car is the 65 / 66
GT-350 and the 66 Hertz cars. Guest speakers, great cars, food for purchase, and perhaps
a surprise big rig will be there.

  • Ray Price Ford in Stroudsburg will again be having their “cars & coffee” event this year.
The exact date is not set yet.

  • SAAC 50 will be held in California with 3 days of track time at Sonoma Raceway. This is
    set for August 21-24.

Meeting Break: 8:03 for pizza
Meeting Resumes: 8:40 to continue

  • The annual club show is planned to return to Silver Creek on September 21.

  • The annual club driving event is planned for October with the exact date to be
    announced later.

  • A recommendation was made from Kevin T to possibly have the charity tied to the 25th
anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy. This will be followed up in the future to perhaps find
    local ties to that event.

  • Dan R. is looking to set up a tour of 3 Dog Garage in the next few months. The exact date
needs confirmation for availability of garage dates.

  • Bruce Larson is looking to hold a “Shelby Drag Day” at his barn sometime in mid July. The
    date needs to be confirmed.

  • Kurt Hutt announced that “Kurtapalluza Part Deux” is scheduled for February 15 at the
Gin Mill in Northampton from 7-11PM.

  • Discussion was brought up about “representing/including” Team Shelby into the LV
Shelby club activities and membership to have a larger and broader range of events and
opportunities. NO CHANGES to how our club currently operates or functions financially
or our current selection of local charitable causes. Dues would also remain the current
price. Basically both clubs would still operate under the current mission plan but would
work closer together for the region of Eastern PA. During discussions the most likely
downside is potentiality larger attendance that may outgrow Tom's “Shelby Pub”.
Another location may be needed at a rental cost for each meeting. Dan said all members
should give it some thought and no formal commitment was decided this evening. It will
be brought up at a future meeting.

  • Dan M. brought up a possible car cruise and tour of the “Iron Trap Garage” in
Boyertown. More information when it is available.

  • Dan & Anna will again participate in the Bikers Against Bullies “Caring for Kids Cruise”
starting at Silver Creek Athletic Association in Springtown. Great event with LOTS of
food and drink after a neat driving route. The charity raises a large amount with this 1
day cruise. This year it is July 25 or 26.

  • 50/50 Drawing:
    ◦ Ford vs. Ferrari small posters – Dan
    ◦ 2 Mystery boxes – Diana D.
    ◦ $80 cash winner – Larry P.

Meeting Adjourned: 9:15 PM
